That is a *Chocolate* Rose? I thought it was a brown colour. I'm glad you posted that because now I won't ask or look around for a brown coloured rose. :-)
Perhaps owing to the muted light of a cloudy day, the color in the photo does not exactly mirror the reality. While it is not brown, it does have "brownish" tinges primarily around the petal edges giving it a kind of dusky or "chocolaty" look.
The name was probably chosen to take advantage of the chache' that anything chocolate has for many people. :)
I am a charter member of the Boomer generation having been born in 1946. My fellow Boomers and I have lived through some incredible events - good and bad. Now my wife Jo and I are "empty nesters" faced with aging and all that comes with it. My two kids are out and about pursuing their lives. My wife and I continue to adjust to life in the slow lane.
